Get the Ome.gg app
Ome.gg installs straight from your browser, with no app store in between. Here's how it works, which devices can do it, and how to add it to yours.
What's a web app?
A web app is a website you can install. Your browser adds Ome.gg to your home screen, Dock or taskbar, and from then on it opens in its own window, like any other app. There's no app store and no big download.
No app store
It installs straight from your browser in a few taps.
Its own window
Full screen on phones, its own window on computers, with an icon on your home screen, Dock or taskbar.
Same account
It's the same Ome.gg: your friends, chats and streaks are all there.
Updates itself
You always have the latest version. There's nothing to update.
Tiny
It uses very little storage on your device.
Notifications
Hear about new messages and friend requests, even when it's closed.

Doesn't work
- Firefox on a computer. It has no install option. Use Chrome or Edge, or Safari on a Mac.

How to install
The quick way: Get the app
Already using Ome.gg? Tap Get the app. On a phone it's under You. On a computer it's in Settings → Notifications, and sometimes as a card in the sidebar. In Chrome and Edge it opens the install window for you. Everywhere else it shows the steps below, and on iPhone and iPad it brings your account along too.
Go to Get the app →iPhone & iPad
Safari, or Chrome, Edge and Firefox on iOS 16.4 or later
In Safari
- 1.Tap ShareThe square with the arrow, at the bottom of the screen (at the top on iPad). On newer versions, tap ⋯ next to the address bar first.
- 2.Tap Add to Home ScreenScroll down the list if you don't see it.
- 3.Leave “Open as Web App” on, then tap AddNot every version shows this switch. If yours doesn't, just tap Add.
4.Open Ome.gg from your Home ScreenThen tap Continue with my account, and your friends and chats come along.
In Chrome, Edge or Firefox: tap Share (in the address bar or the browser's menu), then Add to Home Screen. This needs iOS 16.4 or later.
Why “Continue with my account”?
On iPhone and iPad the installed app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari's.
When you start from Get the app in Ome.gg, it copies a one-time key. The app's first screen uses it to bring your account, friends and chats along.
If the app asks for a code, type the 8-digit code from Safari's screen. Use the same Wi-Fi or connection as Safari. The key works once, within 15 minutes.
Added Ome.gg another way? Open Ome.gg in Safari and tap Get the app there, then go back to the app and tap Continue with my account.
