Your safety comes first
Meeting strangers should be fun and safe. Here's exactly how we protect our community — and how you stay in control of every conversation.
Real-time moderation
Every text message is screened before it's delivered. Harmful content is blocked automatically, before it can ever reach the other person.
One-tap reporting
Report any user mid-chat. Reports go straight to a moderation queue, and high-severity cases are escalated for human review.
Instant blocking
Block anyone with a single tap. They're removed from your matches and can never reach you again.
Bans for offenders
Patterns of abuse trigger temporary or permanent bans. We use multiple signals to make ban evasion difficult.
A clean, respectful space
Ome.gg has zero tolerance for nudity, sexual content, racism, hate speech, and harassment. This is a place to meet new people and have real conversations — not somewhere for explicit or hateful behavior. Break that and you'll be removed.
How moderation works
Text messages in random chats and DMs pass through an automated classifier before they're delivered. Content that clearly violates our rules — nudity and sexual content, racism and hate speech, harassment, and spam — is blocked at the source, so it never reaches the recipient. Borderline cases are flagged for review rather than silently ignored.
Reports add a human layer on top of automation. When you report someone, we record the context and route serious cases to human reviewers. If several different people report the same user in a short window, that account is automatically restricted and queued for review.
Strictly 18+
Ome.gg is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to use the platform. Any sexual content involving minors is absolutely prohibited; we block it, preserve evidence, ban the account, and report it to the appropriate authorities. If you encounter a user you believe is underage, report them immediately using the "Minor" category.

Tips for staying safe
- Keep personal details — full name, address, workplace, financial info — to yourself.
- Be skeptical of anyone asking for money, gifts, or private photos.
- Trust your instincts: if a chat feels off, skip or block, no explanation needed.
- Report behavior that breaks the rules so we can act on it.
If you or someone you're talking to is in crisis
Help is available, and you're not alone. In the US, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 24/7. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right away. Our moderation system also surfaces support resources when it detects messages about self-harm.
